On September 22, 2021, Mr. Dr. Ir. Mohammad Mukhlis Kamal, M.Sc Executive Director of ADI was a speaker at a Workshop on Sustainable Demersal Fisheries Management Workshop held by the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Sam Ratulangi University, Manado.
Participants in this webinar are Sam Ratulangi University academics, business people, and professionals as well as observers of sustainable management.
On that occasion, Mr. Dr. Ir. Mohammad Mukhlis Kamal, M.Sc conveyed the perspective of fisheries management with an ecosystem approach (Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management). Status of use of coral fisheries (WPP based) where the distribution of fish resources managed by ADI in FMA 712, 713, 715, and 718. Demersal fish species as the main representation are snapper and grouper species. The role and efforts made by ADI in the management of demersal fisheries were also presented.
