ADI and SFP, in collaboration with the government (Headquarters Office/Harbour Master, South Sulawesi Provincial Fisheries Department, Maminasatta Fisheries Education Office, and Takalar Regency Fisheries Extension Officers), held a Small-Scale Fishermen’s Vessel Licensing and Administration Center on January 14, 2026, in Tamalate Village, North Galesong District, Takalar Regency, South Sulawesi.

The purpose of this activity was to raise awareness among fishermen about the importance of fishing vessel legality to ensure a complete supply chain for sustainable and responsible fisheries management. This center directly benefited fishermen by obtaining four permits simultaneously: KUSUKA, NIB, PAS Kecil, and E-BKP. Of the 107 small-scale fishermen in Tamalate Village, approximately 60 participated. Furthermore, ADI, along with other stakeholders, remains committed to encouraging all fishermen, especially demersal fishermen, to comply with the legality requirements of their vessels.
