On October 5-6 2021, a Workshop on Optimizing the E-Logbook application will be held to support the achievement of measurable fisheries management, carried out in a hybrid manner at the Grand Savero Hotel Bogor. This event was initiated by the Directorate of Fish Resources Management in collaboration with the Tropical Landscapes Finance Facility (TLFF), the Archipelago Nature Conservation Foundation (YKAN), and the Indonesian Demersal Association (ADI). The event was opened by the Director-General of Capture Fisheries, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Zaini, MM, and at the same time conveyed the Strategy and Implementation of the Measurable Fisheries Concept through the Electronic Logbook.
Dr. Ir. Mohammad Mukhlis Kamal, MSc. The executive director of ADI was one of the speakers conveying about the Integration of the Demersal Fisheries Data System. He is also a moderator in the discussion of Strategy Formulation, Workplan Roadmap, Demersal Fishery Management Support, and Budgeting and Financing.
Another speaker was the Director of Fish Resources Management, Directorate General of Capture Fisheries with presentation material on the Integration of Fisheries Data Collection Systems in the Development of E-Logbooks to Support Measured Capture. Dr. Peter Mous, Director for Sustainable Fisheries Program, Nusantara Nature Conservation Foundation (YKAN) with the material “Learning the Practice of Demersal Fisheries Data Collection at the Local Level in the Context of E-Logbook Enrichment. The synergy of Fisheries Data Collection in the Regions with the National Data System presented by Muslim, ST, M.Si, Head of the Marine and Fisheries Service of West Nusa Tenggara Province.
ADI members were also present virtually, represented by Mr. Agus Saputra from KBT, Mr. Asyang from CSFI, Mr. Agung from DSFI and Mr. Zulfi from KML. Other participants include KKP officials, researchers, non-governmental organizations and local governments.
