ADI 1st Quarterly Meeting 2021

On May 5, 2021, ADI held the 1st Quarterly Meeting by delivering ADI activities during the first quarter of 2021.

As for the purpose of the implementation of this quarterly meeting sbb

  1. Increase the knowledge of demersal members and actors related to snapper and grouper management policies
  2. Socializing ADI positions, roles and steps towards RPP Kakap Grouper
  3. Invite demersal actors who are still not members of ADI to join ADI, actively involved in every activity related to sustainable demersal fisheries.
  4. Socializing with regard to WPP 714 management options and ADI’s role in the policy

As a speaker presenting the Director of Fish Resource Management, Director General of Capture Fisheries, Ministry of Marine Affair and Fisheries (MMAF) Mr. Trian Yunanda, SPi, MSc, Executive Director ADI Dr. Muhammad Mukhlis Kamal and Head of PKSPL IPB Dr. Yonvitner.

The Director of Fish Resources Management, Director General of Capture Fisheries of the MMAF Mr. Trian Yunanda, SPi, MSc to presented the material on the Fishery Management Plan (RPP) for Snapper and Grouper, the urgency of preparing RPP on management issues to the management strategy of Snapper and Grouper. Executive Director ADI Dr. Muhammad Mukhlis Kamal to presented the implementation of FIP by ADI: A road map to fisheries sustainability. In his matery presented about the challenges and opportunities in implementing ADI’s FIP work plan, data collection, obstacles and challenges in data collection and that ADI is the one of association for demersal fisheries in Indonesia. Head of PKSPL IPB Dr. Yonvitner spoke about the options for regulating demersal fisheries in WPP and the role of ADI.

Attending this activity were all the management and members of ADI, invited demersal companies, NGOs and observers of demersal fisheries.
